The woman then spit several times through a cage on a police officer in a squad car during a ride to the St. Peters Justice Center. The man told St. Peters Police he placed an ad on Craigslist for a casual date that entailed dinner and a movie. Christina Marie Gable, 30, of Winfield, responded to the ad. The man drove to Winfield to pick her up and took her back to his home in the block of Lantana Lane West.
The man said he refused to pay for sex and offered to take her home. Gable then threatened his life several times and began hitting, scratching and biting him, according to the police report.
Police said the man had red marks on his face, a scratch above his eye and clear bite marks that were beginning to bruise. The St. Peters police officer reported Gable was intoxicated when he arrived and was speaking incoherently. He put her in handcuffs and put her in the backseat of his vehicle, when she became vulgar and began cussing and calling the officer names, the officer said. A search of the woman's purse revealed a glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana or other controlled substances, according to court documents.
The officer said she spit on him through the cage bars in the squad car seven to 10 times. The officer also said Gable refused to be booked and continued to be belligerent at the St. The officer said he reviewed the Craigslist ad and text messages exchanged between the two, and neither mentioned or implied anything about sex. Gable pleaded guilty Wednesday to third-degree assault, assaulting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was sentenced to two years in prison, but was placed on probation for two years and given five days shock jail time.
