The role will require you to identify, coordinate and drive improvements in safety, quality and operational efficiency whilst working with various teams within the distribution centre to encourage continuous improvement.
Everything you do will help to keep costs down. Perhaps the most important part of your role will be to manage our Deputies, Selectors and Assistants. All in all, this is a busy, hugely varied role with plenty of challenges. You will take on several tasks, from order management to the mitigation of risks or issues that arise with the automation, so you will need a keen eye for detail and excel at problem solving!
We have day and night opportunities, plus an enhanced salary for supervising our freezer section. You will also receive an additional 8. Our Selectors are wonderfully efficient and productive. Your Section Leader will have specific tasks for you, like operating a forklift truck, loading a vehicle or helping to organise pallets and crates. It might be something simple like stocking our vending machines or cleaning up a spillage. This is a hugely varied role, and a really important one.
