A street in Corona, Queens, has become overrun with brothels that operate in broad daylight - and is so popular that it has been advertised on YouTube. Almost a dozen brothels have been operating along Roosevelt Avenue near Junction Boulevard, according to locals. On a recent weekday, scantily-clad sex workers walked down the street in daylight soliciting those who walked by, the New York Post reported.
The sex workers also reportedly recruit children in the neighborhood to distribute their X-rated business cards, worries moms told the paper. They also said the workers hang around outside pool halls, dentist shops and massage parlors day and night.
But they gotta figure something out. Corona is a popular area for migrants to settle when they move to the city and experts say those legally unable to work have often turned to sex work as a means of making money.
