Her knowledge comes from years of overseas employment and seeing how different cultures care for their people. She said she went on to Mount Mercy all-girl school now Carlow University and got her first job in biochemistry.

She also had children from parents serving in the local embassy as well any other embassy student wanting an international education. She began paying more attention in the Turkish bazaars, big shopping areas where people could buy all sorts of goods and items. They were all displayed in barrels and were sold by the gram.
Spaulding returned to Austintown in after close to two decades of teaching and learning overseas. Being so impressed with reflexology, she attended a school in Niles to get trained. She developed a list of clients who felt reflexology was helping them live a better life.
