The Zoo is taking precautions against Avian Influenza. Walkthrough aviaries including Tropical Rainforest and Australasian Aviary are currently closed. For more info, click here. Experience the Zoo in a new light with hundreds of uniquely designed, handmade lanterns glowing throughout the Zoo! Let the nature, interactive, and cultural lanterns illuminate your night as you enjoy this spectacular event. Guests will join a Behind the Scenes Interpreter for an outdoor tour of the Zoo and festive lanterns before the Illuminature event starts.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. All requests for rescheduling or cancellations must be received in writing by email to behindthescenes fresnochaffeezoo. All sales are final and programs are non-transferable. Each igloo accommodates up to six guests and includes one small charcuterie board to share along with one drink ticket per person non-alcoholic for those under Additionally, guests will have access to a dedicated bar exclusively for the igloo area, where they can purchase more drinks if they wish.
Building Community is a core pillar of our mission at the Zoo. Before you enter the Zoo, be sure to take a moment to enjoy our Community Tree, where you will find a welcome greeting in 58 different languages representing the different cultures and groups that make up our diverse Fresno Community.
This year, guests can drop off their unwanted string lights at the Zoo to decrease landfill waste and support healthy habitats. Bring your broken, burned-out, or old lights to our designated drop-off point near the Zoo Entrance. Holiday Light recycling will be available during open Zoo hours through February 1st.
Proceeds from recycling will support the Zoo. We are only accepting holiday string lights β no floodlights, extension cords, light hooks, or other holiday decorations.
