Extensive law enforcement experience including five years of administrative and supervisory experience. Experience as a Chief in a city preferred. Skill in strong management, interpersonal interactions and conflict resolution. Knowledge of budgeting procedures and ability to monitor expenditures and revenues. Knowledge of emergency management issues and practices.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, including ability to give effective presentations to City Council, employee groups, citizens and other groups. Ability to communicate and interact appropriately with people of different ethnic, economic and social backgrounds.
