I took my husband here for his birthday. The hotel was lovely, all the staff were very friendly and curious. The food in the restaurant was fantastic.
We also used the Spa facilities, which were very relaxing. Our room had a sea view , and we just loved looking out at the sea, watching the sand buggies, kite boarders and just plain kites flying in the wind. All in all a lovely experience. We stayed for a short break at the hotel. So we missed nothing and can recommend this hotel. Wonderful, small, charming hotel, perfectly situated right on the beachfront of La Bernerie-en-Retz; a delightful small Bretton town with great Boulangeries, it's own Chateau and a good selection of shops and interesting bistros.
The hotel is immaculately kept and the nineteen rooms are well appointed and cleverly designed. The hosts and their staff are helpful, friendly and professional. The dining room and terrace overlooking the beach are perhaps their unique selling point ; morning activity at the beach and sailing school I can't recommend this hotel enough; a rare find! We stayed two nights. The hotel is rather new and the location is excellent for some of the many sights at the Saint-Nazaire port area, which are within walking distance. A number of restaurants and shops are also available near the hotel. Our room was spacious, reasonably clean and with a comfy bed. The included breakfast was good and the team members at the front desk did an excellent job. We experienced some minor issues such as a defect soap dispenser on arrival, a missing towel, and no coffee beans on our second day, which is the reason why the rating is less than 5.
One night stop over. Well positioned hotel for the submarine pens and historic tours. Close to the small beach area. Hotel is a typical Holiday Inn Express.
