One person was killed on the Freeway early Friday morning when they were struck in traffic after being ejected from their own vehicle. At least eight people, including an infant, were injured during a five-car crash in Westchester on the Freeway near the Freeway.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident. The dumped pallets on the southbound Freeway left debris across all lanes at Roscoe Boulevard.

A huge backup of traffic could be seen on the Freeway in Carson Monday morning, after a three-car collision left one person dead. Both northbound and southbound lanes of the Freeway were jammed with bumper-to-bumper traffic Thursday evening due to an emergency situation, when a man was found lying underneath a blanket on a bridge over the Freeway in Inglewood.
At least one pickup truck overturned in the crash that blocked several lanes in the Sepulveda Pass. Chris Holmstrom reports. The driver of a red Mustang is hospitalized in unknown condition after exchanging fire with CHP officers on the Freeway. Jasmine Viel reports. An incident involving a California Highway Patrol officer shut down the freeway in the Sepulveda Pass for several hours Thursday morning and backed up rush hour traffic for miles. A year-old Long Beach man was killed by a hit-and-run driver after running into traffic on the freeway in West Los Angeles late Monday night.
The crash stretched along a long stretch of the freeway, and caused a major backup. Amy Johnson reports. The California Highway Patrol believes one of the drivers involved may have been driving the wrong way on the near the freeway.
