Skin temperature and cutaneous temperature gradients are useful qualitative measures in the assessment of microcirculatory function and management of shock. Objective: To explore the association between CPTD assessed using thermal imaging and illness severity in patients with sepsis.
Participants were divided into three groups based on physiological measures and available laboratory investigations: healthy volunteers, sepsis and severe sepsis, as per the international sepsis definitions.
