The Bucharest Summit is for sure quite large and is being held for several years now. Not really for fans in my opinion--I also did not notice any--but it's a solid and well respected B2B conference.
Its focus is clearly on the webcam industry. This years show took place in the Sheraton Hotel in the romanian capital of Bucharest. It's a first timer at this hotel. The conference floor of this 3 day show was quite tricky to navigate as it had quite some corners and almost hidden pathways to get around.
A lot of companies presented themselves and their services--most of them were for or from webcam folks. For the girls there was also a make-up corner to make the beautiful ladies even more beautiful. The floors were pretty packed with people so I'm confident the attendance was good. Noticeable though--for obvious reasons--was the clear absence of many Russian and Ukranian people that normally have a good presence at such events and play an important role in the industry.
As usual at conferences like these there were also a few discussion panels and some seminars. Not that many but interesting ones. Again topic-wise focussed on webcam entertainment and entertainers. Interesting to note is that there was a "Psychologist Support Therapy Room" available during the day. This shows that working as a webcam model cannot be underestimated.
It can put pressure on entertainers financially and it's for sure also not easy to deal with some disrespectful clients or not understanding relatives. What's an adult entertainment conference without parties? I went to the Jasmin party at the Face Club in Bucharest. A large discotheque, very modern, clean with great lighting--and exclusively rented by cam company Jasmin for the night. The DJs and live entertainers did a great job to keep the audience on their feet. On the last night of the summit there was an award gala where achievements in the industry were honored.
