The Days series of games each has multiple endings that can be received depending on the player's choices. Strictly speaking, the endings do not have a name, but usually take their name from the final episode the route concludes with.
All the endings have a main menu picture, which replaces the old one when the player finishes a play-through. When the player gets every single ending, a special main menu picture permanently becomes active, which cannot be changed. In School Days , there are 21 possible endings for the player to experience. The endings are divided as follows:. In School Days LxH , Hikari's 2 endings are removed, 6 new bad endings are added, and the original 3 bad endings have an epilogue.
Although there are more bad endings, the blood in the bad endings was removed in order to pass CERO's rating. The game also doesn't have any unique main menu pictures. In School Days HQ , the original 21 endings are retained and 1 bad ending is added, and all of the LxH versions extra content is ignored. This Menu picture indicates that the player has achieved all the endings in Shiny Days at least once. There is one bad ending which involves Mai restraining Makoto Itou and Setsuna whipping him dominatrix style.
Shiny Days adds several new endings devoted to Inori Ashikaga and Noan Murayama and a few more bad endings, for example one that involves Makoto being murdered by Kotonoha.
