They deserve plaudits for trying something different at the start, shame it didn't work out in the end. Alex Albon. That double overtake on Ricciardo and Ocon was amazing. Jamie Chadwick for winning Indycar's F2 equivalent. Alex Albon: Robbed of points but still earns it in my mind for an insane overtake and a great race. Although I hoped for a winner other than Max, it was a hard-fought race and the rain-to-dry conditions were the secret sauce. It was great from Lights Out to the Checkered Flag. It's just unbelievable Given Tsunoda's had the measure of him in most races, this was one of the few weekends where Ricciardo had better pace and looked a bit more like the driver he used to be, as well as picking up a useful number of points for the team.
Martin Brundle, on watching a replay of Grosjean spinning: "The problem with Grosjean is that he want to take a look back at the corner he's just exited". Both drivers managed a decent haul of points where Ferrari, the stars of Monaco, did abysmally. Should have made it back to back points finishes only to be unfortunately collected by his potential team mate for next year Mercedes Team: Finally some life in the Silver Arrow this year beyond the practice sessions.
