Killeen, Texas is not really a city I think about when I think about falling in love. But the reality is, Killeen is definitely a place where families come to retire once leaving the military. I spoke with a group of single individuals and had to ask the million-dollar question: why is it so hard to find love and date in the city of Killeen?
The first individual I spoke to explained to me that Killeen is not the place you go really to set the mood. I do want the scenery to be excellent, though. When I spoke with a young lady about dating in the city, she explained that even though Fort Hood, which is the largest base in the United States, is right next door, committing to someone can be difficult because a lot of times our soldiers get deployed.
She explained to me no one wants to invest in a relationship, then once you decide to get comfortable with an individual, they leave for nine months.
Just save her the heartache, pretty much. That means a lot of people are out of the dating pool or, worse, they're cheating. From my understanding, adultery runs rampant in the city! Someone explain to me that you could be dating somebody for literally a decade and not even know that they have a family on the other side of town. Love's out there - you just have to find it.
