Mayra Gonzalez, 32, of Santa Ana, was arrested Thursday and charged with six felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16 and two felony counts of oral copulation with a minor under 18, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office. KNX 's Orange County Bureau Chief Mike Landa reports that Gonzalez gave birth six weeks ago to a baby boy and she told investigators that the father is her daughter's year-old boyfriend.
Gonzalez told police she is in love with the boy. Gonzalez allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the boy on six occasions between July 1 and Dec. She is also accused of orally copulating the boy twice during the same time. If convicted, Gonzalez faces a maximum sentence of seven years and eight months in state prison and possible lifetime sex offender registration.
