In that shooting, one man died and two other people were injured after suffering gunshot wounds.
Twelve shots rung out on the footage captured by a dash camera. Shortly after, a man can be seen walking toward the hood of the car with a gun in hand. After falling onto the hood of the car, which was parked in front of the Lobscouser restaurant on High Street, two men approached the victim, taking the gun and patting the victim down. The two are then seen, apparently talking with someone in a white SUV briefly before getting in the car and driving off, leaving the injured victim.
He can be heard calling for someone to take him to the hospital a couple times before collapsing onto the street. Another video showed the moment several people, including three women, heard the gunshots before ducking behind a vehicle. The shootings are affecting all parts of the city, including Olde Towne, where many work, live, eat and shop. Goodwin said High Street is a safe place, but stories like this do not help. Community groups are sending a message to city leaders to make High Street safer.
They are looking for more lighting, more police patrols and more surveillance cameras, among other things.
