Only a few minutes away from the city center is the city harbor with its wide waterfront promenade. With its restaurants, bars and old warehouses, it is the perfect destination - for a stroll, a meal out or ship watching.
In this former fishing village, cruise ships are anchored next to idyllic captain's houses and fishing boats. The Alte Strom and the promenade invite you to stroll and linger. East of the Warnow, directly behind the dunes, the Rostock Heath opens up.
The unspoiled coastal forest is the habitat of numerous animal and plant species and invites you to go hiking and cycling along the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Path. The mild, stimulating climate of the Baltic Sea also promotes physical well-being.
