For years I suffered from colds, allergies and bronchitis, and was put on antibiotics 3 or 4 times each year. It had been going on for so long, that I thought this just was the way it was always going to be.
But I was wrong! After starting chiropractic care I noticed that things started changing. Not all at once but slowly over time. That was over 22 years ago, and I have not had bronchitis or needed an antibiotic ever since. I grew up in South Africa and was introduced to chiropractic in my teens by my step dad, Dr.
Felix Starker, who is a chiropractor. I was always amazed at the miraculous and life changing results he achieved for his patients.
What struck me at the time was wow, no drugs or surgery, just his expertise and his bare hands placed on the spine at the perfect level and delivering a gentle force to correct the problem.
I wanted to be able to do that to. After completing his study there, he was accepted at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his four years at Palmer, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Palmer College Public Clinic.
