Camping de la Grange au Maire is a small family-run campsite situated in the southern Deux Sevres in the very centre of the four departments which make up the Poitou Charente.
We are in the perfect place to explore the region , which is the second sunniest in all France with an average hours of sunshine each year! We are just five miles off the N10 motorway, making us an ideal stopover point on your way to and from the south of France or Spain.
We are also central to the three main airports of Poitiers, Limoge and La Rochelle, which are all within easy reach. Newly refurbished toilets, showers and chemical toilet disposal point are available on site. There is 16 Amp electric to all 10 of our pitches. Set in our fully-enclosed grounds behind large gates and hedges ensuring that your stay will be a peaceful and secluded one. This makes our site quiet, safe and secure for everybody, especially the children. We also have a small meeting room with a selection of books and videos, DVDs etc.
Please note, if you will be arriving late on Saturdays or after midday on Sunday that there are no shops open in the area so please make sure you stock up before you arrive. The local supermarket is just 5 Km away in Sauze Vaussais. Marie-Emmanuelle Saintier, mayor of La Chapelle-Pouilloux, came to inaugurate the Turner family campsite, which will bring new life to the village.
After extensive work, the La Grange-au-Maire campsite, which has been closed for several years, has reopened in La Calm little oasis in quiet countryside. Lovely welcome from very friendly owners.
