Hundreds of people are breath-tested each weekend in a tent set up by police on the party strip, with the results often shocking the subjects. Patrons receive their result on an information card spelling out alcohol-related behaviours and messages about sexual assault and what constitutes consent. More than a third of sexual assaults committed on the Gold Coast occur in Surfers Paradise, he said. Over the last four months, 11, tests have been conducted as part of the program.
