Because there is a huge variation in the school massage training program and also a lack of certification standards nationwide. In my opinion, this test is a good standard of knowledge for any massage therapist. In realit y, not too many massage therapists can pass this test but they're certified. Before you make an appointment ask them if they had passed this National Test.
The therapists achieving this credential will have the proper foundation to better serve their clients. I don't believe some terms in Massage Industry such as. Magic hands. Healing hands. A lot of my prospectus clients come to me believing that I have Magic hands and Healing hands. I don't know why they believe such of ridiculous terms in my opinion, it's misleading terms. I don't have any.
