Many of us have probably been to an Easter egg hunt in town, either as children or as parents with kids. The events can be a lot of fun, and many are big traditions, so why limit it to children? Play in the dark: For obvious reasons such as safety and early bedtimes , Easter egg hunts are usually during the day. But with an adult egg hunt, boost the level of difficulty and give everyone a flashlight to search for eggs in the dark.
Give better prizes: Small chocolates are fun for kids, but think outside the egg for this adult event.
Mini bottles of liquor, lottery tickets or even gift cards could make great gifts. Awards and tasks: If you're having a family gathering for Easter, you could write various prizes or tasks on a piece of paper to hide inside eggs.
One person might luck out and get the first plate of food, while someone else might get tasked with dish duty. Craft beer hunt: Get a variety of beers, remove the labels and wrap them in Easter-themed construction paper or ribbon. Hide the bottles around your yard, and the adults who find them get to drink them! Make it a community event: If you're really ambitious, take the event out of your yard and partner with a local organization, such as the Park District or Chamber of Commerce.
