Southwestern College is committed to providing resources for students facing homelessness or housing insecurity. We have numerous resources available to you, both in the community and on campus. Should you find yourself homeless or at the risk of becoming homeless within the next hours please call and visit the Regional Task Force on the Homeless RTFH. The organizations below are just a few of the local and community resources available to assist homeless students and families.
Students must only be enrolled in at least 1 class credit or non-credit to be eligible for Basic Needs Assistance. Shower facilities are open to use by homeless students from Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm during the Fall and Spring semesters. During Winter and Summer sessions, shower facilities are open during the hours of operation of the Field House.
Please call for more information. Students under the age of 25 who are homeless when they attend SWC are eligible for priority enrollment.

Now, a campus wide effort, the Jag Kitchen is a safe and judgment-free zone that can be used by currently enrolled SWC students needing assistance. While we do have a donation item list that our students are always in need of, monetary donations are also accepted and much appreciated.
No eligibility forms or proof of income is necessary. Process Sign in with a Jag Kitchen volunteer. A satisfaction survey and SWC information will be sent to you via email. This assistance is intended to help students stay in school and meet their educational goals, ultimately securing a better financial future for themselves and their families.
