Even the acoustic sensors on the blind spot monitor sensors on the mirror are definitely a piece of art! Thanks for creating such awesome products and increase security on board! I have a Ducati Multistrada and have been contemplating upgrading to the newest model as it has a few new technologies my bike doesn't have.
One being blind spot monitoring. Saw this product and thought I would give it a shot. So far very happy with the product. Quality is outstanding, it was easy to install and gives my bike "new" life. The additional safety aspect is also outstanding. I purchased a set of handlebar mounts from Amazon and used them for mounting along side my TPMS system. This is a great system, and fantastic for the safety aspects.
I tried the lights on the mirror stem, but it wasn't quite at eye level, so moved them up to the mirror as designed. They work as designed. The only thing I think would make them better is if the blind spot is going the same speed as you. The design of these is based on second collision time. If a vehicle is in the blind spot but traveling at the same speed, there is no indication.
The cameras were easy to install and setup on the motorcycle. Each set came with all the necessary mounts and cable extensions to run the cameras and DC converter to where I wanted them.
Two cables run from the main DVR camera, which I ended up sleeving together to since I ran them mostly together. When mounting the rear camera, you will have to have it on and connected to your phone in order to setup the orientation or else the view may end up sideways. I am happy with my investment and look forward to the great footage.
