Ph: jess atpeacewellness. Hard to believe that At Peace Massage and Wellness has been open for ten years. Time flies. I have gone to school here and raised my own family here.
This is where I call home. Ten years ago, when I started this practice, I did not have a single client. I knew and believed in hard work and that putting yourself into your community would bring me success, and it has. As much as I have given, this community has given back, and I am immensely proud of what I have built.
This whole idea of massage therapy started from an idea when I used to give shoulder rubs to my coworkers when I worked in the corporate world over 20 years ago. It has since expanded into a wonderful practice that continues to grow and expand with the needs of my clients.
From there, I have taken a lot more educational paths: Ashiatsu, certification in aromatherapy, postural alignment, certification in Kinesio taping, myofascial cupping and acupressure, and most recently starting my clinical herbology courses. My main focus has always been my clients and their needs.
Our conversations have directed me to new and exciting ideas to continue my education and learn more. I will continue to grow and expand my knowledge of the human body and the techniques to help my clients. One of the best parts of owning my own massage practice is the freedom and opportunity to continue to learn from not only educational tools but my clients themselves. Every client brings their own unique challenge, but the results are all the same; to leave feeling better than they did when they arrived.
