Calendar — this week. Wednesday 4 Wednesday Series — 1 — WH. Hamish Pepper and Carl Williams have celebrated their first ever appearance at the world champs, by winning the opening race of the regatta, while fellow kiwis Rohan Lord and Miles Addy have finished third. Lord and Addy started better of the two kiwi crews, rounding the first mark in second place, and had grabbed the lead by the halfway mark.
However, Pepper and Williams were never far behind, rounding the first mark in fifth place, before moving into second behind their fellow kiwis at mark two. The two crews maintained their positions around the third mark, before Pepper and Williams made their move to take the victory, while Lord and Addy slipped back to third.

During last weeks racing several vessels were unlit and many incorrectly lit. In light of this incident we are considering deploying patrols on some race nights.
The patrol boat would be tasked to stop, and if required escort or tow a vessel back tot eh marina if it is unlit and unable to display the correct lights. Entries……so far 7 1 boats.
