Gunner Norman Mitchell was reported missing 10 March during operations in Italy, later presumed killed in action. At the time of his death his Commando had been placed in the line in Italy for 6 weeks under 5 Corps. Gunner Mitchell has no known grave.
He has no known grave. Son of Alfred H. Porter, of Woodford Green, Essex. Reported as buried by 41 RM Commando but his grave was never subsequently found. Lance Sergeant Leslie Woods was killed in action in Italy. Son of Mr. Woods, of Norwich. And all ranks who served in the Commando and have since passed on in the passage of time, who are also remembered by their proud families and comrades.
