Wants me to send the deposit over western union. Turns out the guy has no ties to the house whatsoever. I got the same email saying he works in Indiana and didn't want to use a property management company because they were asking to much for rent and weren't getting any tenants.
Don't waste your time, whatever he told you is false, it's sad to know these parasites are out there. Said he was transferred to Virginia, couldn't get property rented through property management company and decided to list it himself. Totally almost fell for this scam, though it felt wrong as soon as I got his first poorly worded email reply and so I. Thanks for the info everyone. What a jerk. Did anyone contact the property to let them know? I'm going to find out who owns this house and inform them about the scam. Will keep you posted.
